It makes a man perfect. A man is called educated, when he is well adjusted in his physical, mental, religious, moral, economic and social sphere of his life. Education is a product. Today, education is the most cherished process as well as a goal of any human civilisation in this world. Thus, education is a life-long process that generates awareness about one's own self as well as the environment. This is a liberating voice that brings forth progress for the individual as well as the society Its scope is so wide that it is debatable if there can be any fixed parameters within which the concept of education can be bound.

Learning to know: to provide the cognitive tools required to better comprehend the world and its complexities, and to
provide an appropriate and adequate foundation for future learning. Learning to do: to provide the skills that would unable individuals to effectively participate in the global economy and society Learning to be: to provide self analytical and social skills to enable individuals to develop to their fullest potential psycho- socially, affectively as well as physically, for a all-round complete person. Learning to live together: to expose individuals to the values implicit within human rights, democratic principles, intercultural understanding and respect and peace at all levels of society and human relationships to enable individuals and societies to live in peace and harmony. Today, the concept of life-long education popularity is gaining. It 247 is being realised that education is not limited to that imparted by formal agencies of education. Jnlike formal education, non-formal education is flexible and open to people of different age groups and geographical areas.
